Junior Onshore Wind Consultant (Technical Due Diligence and Energy Assessment)
We’re excited to be hiring a junior renewable energy consultant with a focus on the French Onshore Wind sector. You will be joining a growing and dynamic international team which is already well established with an abundance of wind experience in Europe and an ambition to expand into other emerging markets.
Salary: A competitive basic salary related to your experience, plus pension scheme, annual profit share and route into company ownership.

Your role
You will join our onshore wind team within Everoze within Everoze, primarily providing a wide range of technical and commercial consultancy services and energy production assessment to project developers, investors, lenders or operators mainly in the France, but also supporting our other core markets in UK, Spain, Portugal, and Germany as well as other markets from time to time.
Specific activities will include
- Conducting technical and commercial due diligence. This will include the assessment of risks which could result in a deviation from the project or portfolio financial model, particularly lower energy yield, delays to the project timeline, higher Capex and Opex, and then to propose relevant mitigation measures. Assessed areas would typically cover: land securement, administrative authorisations, environmental constraints, project design, tariff scheme, grid connection, construction and operation contracts, project timeline, etc.;
- Risk quantification;
- Conduction energy assessment using state-of-the-art simulation software;
- Managing multiple projects utilising internal and external resources;
- Business development.

Essential skills and qualifications
- Engineering degree or Master of Science or MEng or similar;
- Zero to three years of first technical experience in the energy sector, ideally within a consultancy.
Soft skills required for the position
- Comfortable working on projects with evolving scopes, in the context of competing priorities and managing client deadlines;
- Capable of determining commercial implications of technical risks;
- Track record of developing and building lasting client relationships;
- Able to write clear, concise and accurate reports in English.
Nice-to-haves, but not essential
- Strong organizational, networking & personal skills;
- Good knowledge of the technical due diligence process and competence for individual subject tasks;
- Field experience of onshore wind projects (audits, construction monitoring);
- Some knowledge of Python, VBA or Machine Learning
- Able to carry out energy production assessments based on meteorological resources databases and state of the art simulation tools (e.g. OpenWind, WAsP, etc.);
- Experience in other European and worldwide markets;
- Additional language skills;
- Entrepreneurship or out of the box thinking to come up with new ideas.
