How you will make an impact

Your work will be mainly technical and commercial consultancy services to solar project developers, lenders or operators in France, UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and other markets. Specific activities will include:

Carrying out energy production assessments either using state-of-the-art simulation tools or methods based on the analysis of historical data. This will imply assessing data quality, data processing, carrying out statistical and long-term analysis, site modelling based on design information along with producing losses estimate and an uncertainty analysis.

Contributing to technical and commercial due diligence undertaken as part financial transactions (financing, refinancing, M&A). This will include the assessment of risks which could result in a deviation from the project or portfolio financial model, particularly lower energy yield, delays to the project timeline, higher Capex and Opex, and then to propose relevant mitigation measures. Assessed areas would typically cover: land securement, administrative authorisations, environmental constraints, project design, tariff scheme, grid connection, construction and operation contracts, project timeline…

Attend and lead site inspections of PV plants as part of either the construction monitoring, the acceptance process and/or technical audits. These inspections will induce travelling, mostly in France but also possibly in UK, Spain or any other market where Everoze might be active.

Managing several projects using Everoze internal and external resources.

Reviewing project O&M reports and assess operation data to extract information on the performance and operational issues of the project, quantifying risks and suggesting mitigation measures.

Supporting the delivery of strategic work. In particular strategic work related to CRE tenders, PV market evolution and trends in France, market integration and market share of major industry players…

Actively taking part in business development. This implies for the most part producing client proposals, taking part in business events and potentially presenting at webinars and/or conferences.

Essential skills and qualifications

MEng Engineering degree, or similar;
One to three years or good first technical experience in solar PV sector, ideally within a consultancy;
Able to carry out energy production assessments based on meteorological resources databases and state of the art simulation tools (PVsyst, Helios 3D, Archelios…).

Soft skills required for the position

Comfortable working on projects with evolving scopes, in the context of competing priorities;
Able to manage concurrent & different tasks and prioritise work load;
Comfortable working at pace and to tight deadlines;
Able to write clear, concise and accurate reports in English;
Native/fluent in English and French.

Nice-to-haves, any of the following

Strong organizational, networking & personal skills;
Good knowledge of the technical due diligence process and competence for individual subject tasks;
Field experience of solar projects (audits, construction monitoring);
Experience in other renewable technologies or flexibility;
Experience in other European and worldwide markets;
Good knowledge of Python, VBA and Machine Learning;
Additional language skills.
