Delburn WF Acquisition Due Diligence

Published January 2026

Everoze is proud to have supported SEC Victoria (State Electricity Commission) as their Technical Advisor for their 100% acquisition of the 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 in Gippsland – Victoria’s first publicly owned, utility scale wind farm. The Project is among a small number of wind farms to achieve Final Investment Decision (FID) / Financial Close (FC) in 2025 and is distinctively co-located within a pine forest in Victoria’s Gippsland region.

Acting as Technical Advisor, we delivered comprehensive technical due diligence and strategic input across key contracts and design elements. Our work provided SEC with the confidence to proceed, ensuring robust technical assumptions and risk mitigation for a project that will accelerate Victoria’s renewable energy transition and deliver long-term community benefits.

Our scope included:

  • Comprehensive Technical Due Diligence across planning, environmental, and site logistics
  • Review of energy yield assessments and turbine technology selection
  • Assessment of grid connection design and compliance
  • Analysis of construction schedule and delivery risks
  • Technical input to financial modelling assumptions
  • Advisory on EPC, O&M and grid connection contracts
  • Recommendations for lifetime extension and major repair allowances

Everoze’s independent, evidence-based advice helped SEC de-risk technical assumptions, validate project readiness, and confidently proceed with the acquisition of Delburn Wind Farm – paving the way for construction intended to commence in 2026.
