Everoze advises Mirova on the 300MW Goya wind farm cluster
September 2018
Everoze was delighted to advise Mirova on the technical side for the acquisition of the first premium and public subsidy free Spanish 300 MW wind farm. The Goya project was awarded to Forestalia in the first Spanish renewable generation auction of 2016 and consists of 9 wind farms made of GE3.4-130 and GE 3.8-130 and wind turbines. The project located in the province of Zaragoza is supported by the EIB and by the Investment Plan for Europe.
ENGIE, as a member of a joint venture with Acciona and Copsa, will be the company responsible for carrying out the construction of the 9 wind farms, and GE will carry out the installation of the wind turbines. The civil works has started Q1 2018, with the aim of having the facilities come into operation within the deadline set by the auction, March 2020.
Everoze’s scope of work included review of energy yield assessment, permitting, environmental constraints, turbine technology, turbine suitability, foundation design, grid connection, construction contracts and WTG O&M agreement. We employed our industry leading Due Diligence on Demand process, ensuring a robust risk assessment, smooth communication and continuous identification of open or risk items. Through the process, efficient mitigation measures were discussed and agreed between the parties, allowing the technical risk profile of the projects to reach an appropriate level before transaction completion.
Everoze’s work was led by French partner Alexander Klein supported by a broader project team including, Arnaud Thomé, Jerome Jacquemin, Ana Bamonde and Brieuc Pey.
