Published March 2022
Everoze was delighted to advise Octopus Renewables, the fund management specialist which is part of Octopus Energy Group’s generation business, on the acquisition of a wind farm located in Marhult in the municipality of Uppvidinge, South East Sweden, totalling 31.5MW. The project was developed by OX2 and consists of 7 Vestas V150 4.5MW.
Everoze’s scope of work included technical review of the energy yield assessment, permits, grid, land lease, design, environmental suitability, construction and operation contracts as well as the construction program and financial model. Partnering with Wind Sweden, Everoze ensured a robust assessment of transaction technical risks, smooth communication and continuous identification of open and priority items. Through the process, efficient mitigation measures were discussed between the parties, allowing the technical risk profile of the projects to reach an acceptable level for Octopus.
The project is scheduled to become operational at the end of 2023.
Everoze’s work has been performed by both UK and French Everoze teams including Jo de Montgros, Justine Malafosse, Simon Hughes, Mathieu Amendola, Bob Hodgetts and Hanna Vollan together with our local Swedish partner Wind Sweden.
