Everoze supports major lender financing for Solar PV in Ireland
Published in February 2025
Everoze supported Power Capital, a leading IPP based in Dublin, for the c. €215m financing process relating to a portfolio of seven new build solar farms in the Republic of Ireland, totalling 290 MWp. The projects represent one of the largest RESS-2 backed debt funding deals for solar PV in the Republic of Ireland. The portfolio was funded by three banks: AIB, Bank of Ireland, and Société Générale, who Everoze acted on their behalf as the Lender’s Technical Advisor.
Justin Brown, CEO of Power Capital mentions: “This is an outstanding achievement for Power Capital, our team and everyone involved. We really appreciated Everoze’s expertise throughout the technical due diligence phase of the transaction.”
From a delivery perspective, the transaction was landmark as Everoze and DLA Piper, who acted as the Lender’s Legal Advisor, worked together using the due diligence reporting platform, LiveDiligence, which improved legal and technical collaboration and streamlined the DD process for the borrower and lenders.
Following completion of the due diligence, the solar farms are now in construction as of Q1 2025.
Everoze’s work was led by UK Partners Martin Laing and Adam Sharpe supported by a broader project team including Madeleine Hill, Bethan Lawson, Ben Rattenbury and Alex Olczak.
