Everoze was pleased to serve as the owner’s engineer and technical advisor for the construction of the Rödene Wind Farm, a 85.8 MW project developed and constructed by RES in Sweden. The wind farm is owned by Mirova and Octopus and features 13 SG155 wind turbine generators (WTGs).
Olena Reznik, Investment Director at Mirova commented: “We at Mirova are immensely grateful to our Owner Engineer Everoze for their outstanding work, dedication and expertise throughout the construction of the Rödene Wind Farm. Thanks to their expertise, meticulous oversight and proactive problem-solving, we achieved in February 2025 a handover that brings additional 85.8MW of clean energy into operation in Sweden. Mirova is committed to a sustainable energy transition, which this wind farm brings us closer to. We are thrilled to have collaborated with Everoze and Octopus, and look forward to follow the journey of the Rödene Wind Farm”
Construction commenced in mid-2020, and the project was officially handed over in February 2025. Over the 4.5 year construction and taking over period, Everoze, alongside its partners, Jonas Barman (local partner), 8.2, Vento, and Netwind, conducted comprehensive construction monitoring, which included:
- Ongoing construction oversight including weekly meetings;
- Detailed design reviews;
- Monthly and ad hoc site visits;
- Management of claims and liquidated damages (LDs);
- Review and challenge of technical documentation and related issues;
- Conducting takeover inspections; and
- Review of takeover documentation and conditions.
Everoze’s involvement was customised to address the project’s specific needs, tackle the challenges encountered during construction, and preserve the interests of Mirova and Octopus.
Through a proactive and responsive approach, Everoze ensured that challenges from COVID-19 and new WTG platform were effectively managed throughout the construction process.
Ian Dunn, Asset Management Director at Octopus added: “Octopus Energy Generation is delighted to announce the successful completion and handover of the Rödene Wind Farm in Sweden. This 85.8 MW project is a remarkable achievement, reflecting the dedication and expertise of everyone involved. We extend our gratitude to Everoze for its outstanding role as owner’s engineer and technical advisor throughout the construction process. Your comprehensive oversight—including detailed design reviews, continuous construction monitoring, and management of claims and takeover inspections—has been invaluable.
The challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of a new WTG platform were significant. Everoze’ s proactive and adaptable approach in addressing these complexities ensured the project’s success, safeguarding the interests of both Mirova and Octopus Energy. The handover of the Rödene Wind Farm in February 2025 marks another step forward in our commitment to expanding renewable energy generation. We are proud to have partnered with Everoze and Mirova on this project and look forward to the continued success of the Rödene Wind Farm.”
Everoze’s work has been led by French partner Justine Malafosse and Simon Hughes supported by a broader project team including Colin Morgan, George Gibberd, Paul Gardner and partners Jonas Barman (local partner), 8.2, Vento and Netwind.
