Albion Capital has refinanced Albion Community Power, the £105 million renewable energy fund by raising £57 million of debt from Aberdeen Standard Investments. Everoze was pleased to support Aberdeen Standard Investments with technical due diligence advice on the refinancing. The portfolio comprises operational onshore wind, hydro, solar rooftop and battery projects. The multi-technology portfolio also included refurbished wind turbines was a great chance to make the most of the breadth and depth in the Everoze team.
Alex Campbell, Investment Director at Aberdeen Standard Investments, says: “Investing in renewable energy is important for many of our clients. In these transactions we continue to value both the quality of advice and the responsiveness provided by Joss and the wider Everoze team. We were glad to have the benefit of Everoze’s expertise across the full range of technologies in the portfolio”
David Gudgin, Partner at Albion Capital, says: “Albion Community Power was Albion’s first institutional fund, and we are pleased to have delivered such a good result for our LPs. Moving forward, we are continuing to invest in renewable energy assets and are keen to add further institutional investors targeting long term, uncorrelated, RPI-linked cash flows alongside our existing LPs. We are very appreciative of Everoze’s support through the process, providing constructive review and delivering all workstreams on time and look forward to working with them again”
