Akaysha requested that Everoze undertake lenders due diligence on their 311MW/1,250MWh stand-alone BESS in Victoria. This project benefits from a 15-year Virtual Toll agreement with Snowy Hydro.
Jon Allen, Senior Associate of Akaysha mentioned: “It was a pleasure working with Everoze on this project. The Akaysha team particularly valued Everoze’s extensive technical expertise, practical approach and willingness to go above and beyond to produce a high quality due diligence report. We look forward to continuing to develop a strong partnership with the Everoze team in Australia and abroad.”
Everoze carried out a full due diligence of the project including reviews of site, land, planning, technology and design, grid connection, BESS supply, BOP and O&M contracts, virtual toll agreement, project schedule and financial model. The review also included an extended ESG scope covering Equator Principles, climate risk and vulnerability, EU taxonomy and SFDR.
Emma Fagan, General Manager of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Akaysha added: “Everoze delivered clear, rigorous ESG diligence both from an Investor and Lender perspective. The ESG analysis covered all critical pathways and frameworks including Equator Principles, EU taxonomy and SFDR, as well as a project climate risk assessment. The analysis was well integrated into the technical assessments, backed by a knowledgeable and highly engaged team”
