September 2020
Everoze was delighted to advise Octopus Renewables, on the acquisition of a 120MWp portfolio of 14 projects in France. The projects were acquired at operational stage and have been commissioned between 2013 and 2015.
Darren Ho, Investment Manager at Octopus Renewables mentions: “Everoze has supported Octopus on previous transactions and, based on our past experience, we were pleased to appoint them as our Technical Advisor on this project. The team were detailed and efficient in carrying out the due diligence, with risks and mitigations clearly presented in their reports allowing Octopus to make informed decisions. Their knowledge and expertise were evident throughout the review which covered technology, lifetime assessment, permitting, grid, land, design, contracts, environment.”
Everoze employed its industry leading Due Diligence on Demand process, ensuring a robust risk assessment, smooth communication and continuous identification of open or risk items. Through the process, efficient mitigation measures were discussed and agreed between the parties, allowing the technical risk profile of the project to reach an acceptable level for Octopus Renewables. Everoze’s scope of work included technical review of a third party Due Diligence consisting in permits, grid, land, technology, design, environmental constraints and O&M contracts and an in depth review of the lifetime of the plant, the operational data including the retrofit of some PV plants, the site inspections, the energy yield and the financial modelling.
Everoze’s work was led by Christophe Campistron supported by a broader project team including Arnaud Thomé, Arnaud Ete and Raphael Lagache.
