May 2019
Everoze was delighted to advise Octopus Energy Investments on the technical side of their first French wind project acquisition. The 18MW Roche Quatre Rivieres wind farm (9 Vestas V100-2MW turbines) has been developed and is currently being built by RES, one of the world-leaders in renewable energy project development.
Everoze employed its industry leading Due Diligence on Demand process, ensuring a robust risk assessment, smooth communication and continuous identification of open or risk items.
David Goodwin, Senior investment manager and transaction manager at Octopus Energy Investments commented: ”It has been a pleasure working with Everoze on this transaction and we have had a very positive experience. The team’s vast expertise was evident throughout the whole process, especially with regards to the contractual negotiations, key diligence points and the wind studies.”
Alexandre Zanger, Head of investment and transaction for RES in France added: “Working with Everoze as the technical advisor of the buyer has been fruitful and productive. During the process they have proven their expertise and demonstrated a real pragmatism to allow quick resolution on key transaction aspects”.
The project is expected to become operational by end of 2019. During the construction phase, Everoze continues to support Octopus Energy Investments as owner engineer including desktop reviews, site visits and wind turbine inspections at take-over.
Everoze’s work was led by French partner Arnaud Thome supported by a broader project team including Justine Malafosse and Brieuc Pey.
