Published November 2021
Everoze was delighted to act as Perfect Wind Polska’s Owner’s Engineer for the construction of a 132MW wind farm portfolio developed and built by Akuo. This portfolio is owned by Akuo and Mirova and consists of the following three wind farms located in Poland: Gniew (22 MW), EP44 (44 MW) and Wielowies (66MW).
Construction started in November 2019 and the wind farms were commissioned between April and October 2021. During the 2 years of construction, Everoze and its partner Cameo, supported through local partners Ensovia and Wind Audit, performed extensive construction monitoring including:
- construction follow up;
- monthly and ad hoc site visits;
- review of technical documentation;
- review of contracts amendments;
- WTGs inspections; and
- review of take over documentation.
Construction of the wind farms faced unusual challenges and complexities (COVID-19 events mainly impacting BoP and grid works, adverse wind conditions during erection phase, challenging grid connection process and complex issues in relation with grid works). Through proactive and reactive approach, Everoze supported the wind farms to make sure these challenges were successfully managed.
Adriano Tutello, Investment Manager at Mirova mentions: “Everoze’s team, as technical advisors, provided extensive knowledge and responsiveness to support us in our first green field investment in Poland. Their diligence allowed us to move forward smoothly during the construction of the portfolio. It is always a pleasure to work with Justine’s fully committed and professional team.”
