PiP’s acquisition of an onshore wind portfolio

Published April 2019

PiP’s Multi-Strategy Infrastructure Fund has acquired a portfolio of onshore wind farms from Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) for an enterprise value of £50 million.  Everoze was very pleased to advise PiP on the acquisition and to subsequently act as lender’s advisor. We enjoyed the challenge of reviewing such a varied portfolio that ranges from single sub MW turbine sites across the Orkney and Shetland Islands to utility-scale turbines in Curraghderrig, Ireland and the Port of Tilbury in London.

Everoze was especially excited to perform a parallel review of the transaction on LiveDiligence – a new online platform that gives the clients faster access to the findings they need and the clarity required to make the right calls as the deal evolves.

Commenting on the acquisition and their experience of using LiveDiligence, Joe Davis of PiP said: “We’re delighted to have acquired this portfolio and I’m very grateful for the quality of support from the Everoze team which was top-notch! It was great to use LiveDiligence as the platform was able to deliver findings from due diligence with increased speed and clarity. This is definitely the direction that the industry should be heading in as it demonstrates the benefits that technology can bring to the due diligence process.”
