Everoze advises Conquest on 12MW French wind farm acquisition
Everoze was delighted to advise Conquest, an asset manager and investor in the European sustainable infrastructure market, on the technical side of a 12MW French onshore wind farm acquisition. The wind farm has 4 wind turbines (Nordex N131-3MW) and is developed by Nordex, a Tier 1 global wind turbine manufacturer and leading developer on the French market.
Everoze’s scope of work included technical review of energy yield assessment, consenting, land securement, grid, tariff, technology & design, structural & environmental suitability, construction & operation contracts negotiation, construction program, power purchase agreement and financial model inputs. Everoze’s work also included the evaluation of wind farm captured price deviation against national reference price and the client support within aggregator tendering and selection process.
Everoze employed its industry leading Due Diligence on Demand process, ensuring a robust risk assessment, smooth communication and continuous identification of open or risk items. Through the process, efficient mitigation measures were discussed and agreed between the parties, allowing the technical risk profile of the projects to reach the appropriate level within the challenging project programme.
The Project is expected to become operational by end of Q1 2019. During the construction phase, Everoze continues to support Conquest Asset Management with construction monitoring work including desktop review, site visits and wind turbine inspections at take-over.
Stephane Wattez-Richard, Investment Director at Conquest, commented: “Everoze is a highly reactive team, bringing rigorous approach and strong technical expertise to the table, which has proved critical from start to close of the transaction.”
Everoze’s work was led by French partner Alexander Klein supported by a broader project team including Arnaud Thomé and Justine Malafosse.
