Vendor Technical Advisor for the sale of JBM Solar to German energy giant RWE

Everoze was delighted to support the sale of solar and storage developer JBM Solar to RWE. At Everoze we strive to be part of high impact transactions that make a difference and advising JBM Solar as their technical advisor – with a whopping 6GWac of solar and co-located battery development pipeline – we believe we played an important part in this landmark transaction. Everoze supported JBM Solar in producing the technical due diligence report, the solar PV energy production assessments that helped accurately forecast the Portfolio’s energy output, and advised JBM on techno-commercial considerations at every step.

Adam Swarbrick, Commercial Director at JBM Solar says: “Everoze and their wider team supported JBM Solar throughout and helped smooth the process from a technical perspective. The team was hard-working, considerate and accommodating of our requirements, and provided valuable intelligence to our decision making in this landmark acquisition of our business. We hope to work with Everoze again in the future.”

The more granular details of the work carried out included:

  • Vendor technical due diligence report
    • Assessment of development pipeline and processes
    • Review of status of development rights documentation (grid connection, land security, and planning consent)
    • Financial model inputs (CAPEX, OPEX, degradation, constraint & curtailment, supply chain considerations, overall timings)
  • Energy production assessments for 70 + ground mounted solar assets
  • Expert session support

Gregory Triantafyllidis, Technical Director at JBM Solar added: “I very much appreciated Everoze’s ability and willingness to take the task head on, work to our timeline, being a joy to work with, and most importantly helping navigate the whole process.”

Everoze’s work was led by Martin Laing and Adam Sharpe, and supported by a strong team with extensive knowledge of the UK solar and battery storage market.
