Acquisition of Langa, a French owner and developer, by ENGIE

September 2018

ENGIE was bidding for the acquisition of Langa in France. The solar portfolio was made up of 720 sites with a total power of 1,280 MWp, including 150 MWp in operation. A few solar/storage sites were also part of the portfolio. Everoze advised ENGIE on the acquisition of the portfolio.  The scope of work included the following technical reviews: review of the energy yield assessment, permitting, grid, tariff, technology and design, construction, operation contracts and site inspections.

Everoze employed its industry leading technical due diligence process ensuring a dependable risk assessment, smooth communication, and continuous highlight of open or risk items.  These items have then been openly discussed between the parties to design efficient mitigation measures allowing to reach a risk threshold acceptable to ENGIE, who did successfully acquire the project.

Frederic Artigou, ENGIE’s Technical Manager for photovoltaic (PV) on this transaction indicates “Having worked successfully with Everoze on this TDD, we especially appreciated and valued their responsiveness, dynamism and the constant open exchange of communication as well as their know-how of PV technology, its market and regulation.”
