Everoze announces significant expansion in Scotland

Glasgow, 26th January 2016

Technical and commercial energy consultancy, Everoze, announces the opening of a new office in Fife headed up by recently recruited Partner, Zoe Barnes who is leading the development of the company’s activities in Scotland. The move is in response to a growing demand for consultancy services in the renewables market in Scotland, despite a tough regulatory environment in the broader UK context.

Zoe joins the Everoze team with over a decade of experience in renewables working as a consultant with BVG Associates and a Technology Manager at Vestas. She brings a wealth of industry expertise plus specialist knowledge in technology and innovation.

Zoe Barnes said, “I’m delighted to be working as part of this exciting new business that has already amassed 12 talented and experienced staff since its inception in September 2015. Our new Scottish office will provide the same high quality of service as our Bristol office does including due diligence, asset health assessments and strategic support. I’m particularly looking forward to working with both colleagues and clients to bring additional value in the area of technology strategy.”

Founding Partner Jo de Montgros added, “We’re delighted to welcome Zoe to the Everoze team and to firmly establish a new company base in Scotland. The Scottish Government’s sustained support for renewables has been a significant factor in our decision to set-up in Fife, as has our long-standing relationships with a number of clients from across Scotland.”

The Everoze Scottish office opening coincides with the Scottish Renewables Offshore Wind Conference being held in Glasgow on 26 January 2016. The event has attracted over 200 industry professionals to explore the future of offshore wind in the UK and discuss the key issues affecting the industry. Jo de Montgros, joins other high profile speakers at the event to discuss the financial challenge facing the industry and offer insight in how to tackle it.

Cllr Lesley Laird, Fife Council’s Depute Leader and Executive Spokesperson Economy and Planning, said: “Fife is at the forefront of renewable energy and innovation. Everoze’s growth in Scotland, and specifically, Fife, reinforces our position.

“Fife has a lot to offer businesses, and we aspire to be the best place to do business. Everoze are recognised globally for their expertise, and this investment in Fife is a positive boost for the Kingdom. The renewables and energy sectors are going through a period of technical, economic and regulatory change, and this expansion reinforces the region’s reputation as a centre of excellence for this rapidly evolving and dynamic sector.”
