Junior Solar PV Consultant (France)

Your role

As a junior solar consultant within, you will primarily provide a wide range of technical and commercial consultancy services to solar project developers, investors, lenders or operators in France, UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and Germany as well as other markets from time to time. Specific activities will include:

  • Energy production assessments either using state-of-the-art simulation tools or methods based on the analysis of historical data;
  • Technical and commercial due diligence undertaken as part financial transactions (financing, refinancing, M&A);
  • Attending and leading site inspections of PV plants as part of either technical audits, construction monitoring and/or acceptance process. These inspections will induce travelling, mostly in France;
  • Managing several projects using Everoze internal and external resources;
  • Operational monitoring of PV projects;
  • Strategic work related to CRE tenders, PV market evolution and trends in France, market integration and market share of major industry players and others; and

Technical skills and qualifications

  • MEng Engineering degree, or similar;
  • Fluent in French and English;
  • Technical experience in solar PV sector, ideally in consulting; and
  • Good knowledge of solar PV and state of the art simulation tools (PVsyst, Helios 3D, Archelios,…).

Soft skills required for the position

  • Comfortable working on projects with evolving scopes;
  • Able to manage concurrent tasks and prioritise work load;
  • Comfortable working at pace to tight deadlines; and
  • Able to write clear, concise and accurate reports.

Nice-to-haves, but not essential

  • Strong organisational, networking & personal skills;
  • Good knowledge of the technical due diligence process and competence for individual subject tasks;
  • Field experience of solar projects performing audits, or construction monitoring;
  • Additional language skills, particularly Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian.
  • Experience in:
    • other European and worldwide markets;
    • other renewable technologies such as hybridization, hydrogen, energy storage or flexibility;
    • owner’s engineering, construction monitoring or asset management
