Everoze has announced the opening of a new office in Melbourne, Australia headed up by Simon Mason and David Millar.  The move is in response to the growing demand for consultancy services in the renewables market in Australia and Asia Pacific.

Simon joins the Everoze team with over 15 years of experience in renewables working as a consultant with DNVGL and Jacobs and as Engineering Manager at Edify Energy. He brings a wealth of industry expertise plus specialist knowledge in solar and onshore wind development, contracting, procurement and technical due diligence.

Reflecting on the launch, Simon commented “I’m excited to join the amazing team at Everoze after four years of working independently. I’m looking forward to bringing together a local team of industry experts as well as leveraging Everoze’s international expertise into the Australian market, particularly in the emerging offshore wind, hydrogen and energy storage (BESS) sectors. We also aim to radically improve the technical due diligence process for acquisitions, refinancing and project finance through use of the LiveDiligence platform which enables clients to have real-time, collaborative access to the published review, and the clarity to focus energy where it matters, in a single, secure, access-controlled environment.

David joins the Everoze team with over two decades of experience in renewables working as a consultant with Garrad Hassan/GLGH, AECOM, Millennium Energy Solutions and as a Project Delivery Manager for Total Eren. David also brings a wealth of industry expertise plus specialist knowledge in the onshore wind and solar PV sectors.

David said “I’m really excited to be joining the wonderful Everoze business that has already grown to over 80 highly experienced staff since 2015. Our new Melbourne office will provide the same high quality of service as our European colleagues do including project development support, due diligence, asset health assessments and strategic support. I’m particularly looking forward to working with both clients and colleagues to expedite the transition to a low carbon future.”

Everoze Founding Partner Bob Hodgetts added: “We’re delighted to welcome Simon and David to the Everoze team and to firmly establish a new company base in the Asia Pacific region. The Australian Government’s updated renewable energy targets have been a significant factor in our decision to set-up in Australia, as has our long-standing clients networks in the Asia Pacific region and our strong existing relationships with Simon and David.”

Ragna Schmidt-Haupt, Partner of Everoze, who is also joining the board of Everoze PTY Ltd, mentioned: “The regional renewables, flex and sustainability markets are more buoyant than ever. I am particularly excited to be expanding our unique Everoze culture and client approach outside of Europe for the first time.”
